DescriptionFlat bottomed bowl with wide rim and central depression which humps up on the interior surface. Mold-made. Covered overall with cream colored glaze. Inscription around edge in blue Gothic letters containing the words "Ave Maria" and 3 syllabic exerpts from the Latin Prayer. Falcon in middle. Background fillers are disc rosettes of 3 to 7 dots encircled by a thin line, smaller random dotting, very fine stem lines, and calligraphic hooked scrolls, all executed in a silver and copper pigment. Broken and mended.
