DescriptionHead sling in wool, woven in red, white, yellow, green. Padded and bound woven decorative motifs in center of sling, to form padded forehead area, using cats, birds, geometric motifs. Slit in center measures 1.75" and divisions on either side of the center band measure 6"; for 27" braided strands of red wool extend on either side and for 34", twisted red cord tassels complete the sling. The head piece is lined in red soft-knit wool. [Catalogue card 1952]
Ornamental sling or belt. Tapestry weave in red, white, yellow, green; long red cord with tassels. Birds, felines, and the star which is especially characteristic of the period. Cradle of alpaca vertical wrapping on a horizontal foundation of cotton and bast, braided and plied alpaca cords.
