DescriptionLarge gourd with pointed top, bulbous body and flat "base," all but the base carved with numerous scenes of Peruvian daily life and celebrations. The top section separated off by a row of repeating hearts, above which are "heart-flowers," small animal, avian and insect forms, as well as ornate diamonds on a dark ground.
