There is a large central orb, and small silver balls between the rays near the center. Each ray ends with a ball which expands and is tipped with six smaller balls, surrounded by a point. The plate sits on three silver filigree legs. While there is a strong tradition of filigree in decorative arts most of it was imported to Buenos Aires as there was not a strong local filigree making tradition. This plate was most likely made in portugal and then imported to Buenos Aires.
