DescriptionHe was carved wearing blue breeches, long coat kilted back, red vest and apparently did not originally have an attached hat. Present hat is a small straw one made for dolls of the 1880-90's. He has velveteen brown boots with the leather soles, beaded trim and thread lacings. The oxen are original, painted with red and blue spots in tempera, their hoofs are split, they have buckskin tails and horns of birdclaws.
