DescriptionFigure has forward lean, right foot advanced, knees low down in proportion to torso. "Archangel" dress simplified to shirt, kilt, short pointed tail at back. Ruffled collar, girdle and border of kilt are carved in relief, with raised rosettes. Head is small with delicate features, had neck-length gesso hair and a forehead band of diadem shape, cardboard (?) covered with ;gesso. Wings were apparentlyi small and attached flush to the shoulders, to judge by the gesso losses which are now shaped like overlapped hearts.
