DescriptionRustic wooden box with hinged lid, red painted outline around opening and innr lid edge. Lid has painted floral design in red and green on originally white? ground which is peeled and smudged. Box interior is in 2 sections 16 cm H, and 10 cm H. The top section has a large central figure wearing a tunic, originally flesh, colored, and a red robe over the left shoulder. He holds a lamb on a book or box in the left, crooked arm, and a staff topped with cross in the right hand. He stands on a pedestal supported by lambs. To his right hand. To figure's left are a woman with a bundle on her back, a bird, and a dog? The lower section features a squatting jaguar with a captured rabbit, 2 white cone shaped objects with red tips at the back are 4 humans, one sitting on a rock and playing a horn, another is holding a container and has a drum. There is a 5th figure on the right side as you face the box holding something in her? right arm. Figures and box interior appear dirty and paint is rubbed off front of Jesus.
